COMNEXIA is aware of a major security issue that is affecting users of the Microsoft Windows operating system. The issue is caused by the latest Defender update, KB2267602, and results in users being unable to access application shortcuts on the Start menu and taskbar.

According to reports, after installing KB2267602 version 1.381.2140.0 on a device, the application shortcuts on the Start menu and taskbar are automatically deleted. This issue is also caused by Attack Surface Reduction rules.
